農研機構は、我が国の農業と食品産業の発展のため、基礎から応用まで幅広い分野で研究開発を行う機関です。
この分野における我が国最大の研究機関であり、職員数約3,200名(正職員のみ)、年間予算742億円[2021年度決算]。全国各地に研究拠点を配置して研究活動を行っています。
研究開発の成果を社会に実装するため、国、都道府県、大学、企業等との連携による共同研究や技術移転活動、農業生産者や消費者への成果紹介も積極的に進めています。
National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO) conducts research and development in a wide range of agricultural fields from basics to applications, for development of Japan’s agriculture and food industry.
NARO is the largest research organization in this fields in Japan, have 3,200 regular employees, annual budget of 74.2 billion JPY as of 2021, many research stations are located all over Japan.
Towards the social implementation of our research achievements, NARO positively promote joint research and technology transfer which collaborates with the country, prefectures, universities, companies, etc. and to spread to farmers and consumers.
